The biggest and most powerful Aprilia scooter yet (as well as the lightest in its class), the Scarabeo 500 is a maxi with an equally big standard feature and equipment list. In fact, you won’t find all this great stuff on many much more expensive motorcycles. For starters, the Scarabeo 500’s underseat storage compartment is the largest in the category. Riders also get an adjustable windshield, trip computer with lap timer, temperature gauge and fuel mileage calculator. With 39 horsepower power on tap from the single overhead camshaft four-valve engine and a huge 3.5-gallon fuel tank, this Scarabeo is ready to take on long hauls. Like its smaller siblings, riding the Scarabeo offers up a feeling of security, thanks to its large 16-inch front / 14-inch rear tires. Stopping power is also impressive, with 260 millimeter disc brakes up to the task. The Scarabeo 500 amazingly stable and intuitive to ride for expert and novice riders alike.
